Center for Evaluation of Clean Energy Technology

  • Program Description: The Center for Evaluation of Clean Energy Technology (CECET) is a consortium of public, private and educational institutions joined to establish wind and solar photovoltaic test and research capabilities in New York State with financial assistance from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). A multi-member center including Solar PV and Wind testing facilities located at member sites where the expertise and qualifications needed to operate these facilities already exists. The primary location for business transactions resides at Cortland NY, also Headquarters for CECET parent company Intertek. CECET and its six University Members (see Partner section) provide consulting services to clients and coordinates CECET financed facilities and existing complementary resources available at members’ sites. This initiative is led by Intertek; an OSHA accredited Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) that provides certification services.
