Program Description: The Clean Energy Accelerator is a program through which the Metro region of the Clean Energy Resource Teams (Metro CERT), a program of the Great Plains Institute, is providing an opportunity to apply for assistance with getting community-based clean energy projects “off the ground” in 11 Minnesota counties, including Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington, and Wright.

Requirements: Ideal applicants are community-based institutions, organizations, or groups that are committed to achieving one or more goals around energy efficiency or renewable energy. Example applicants include local governments, schools, neighborhoods, utilities, faith organizations and groups, civic groups, and business associations.
Program Length: Rapid Assistance: 1-3 months, Deep Assistance: 4-10 months
